Enter a US size and the converter looks up the matching row in that scale’s table: men’s US 9 → UK 8, EU 42.5, CM 27. Sizes between rows snap to the nearest row — and anything outside the table tells you to measure your foot instead of guessing.

|---|---|---|
| UK size | table lookup | Men’s US 9 → UK 8 (men’s: US = UK + 1). |
| EU size | table lookup | Men’s US 9 → EU 42.5 — the continental scale. |
| CM size | table lookup | Men’s US 9 → CM 27 — the box/Japanese size, in centimeters. |

Little-kid sizes run 10K–13.5K, then the scale restarts at 1Y (youth) and runs to 7Y. EU and CM values below are the common published mappings — kids’ shoes vary the most by brand, so measure.

These are the widely published standard mappings (consistent with the major brand charts), but shoe sizing is not an exact science: brands vary by up to half a size, EU sizes are the least standardized, and width (narrow/regular/wide) isn’t in any conversion table. CM box sizes run roughly 1 cm longer than your measured foot — that’s deliberate toe room. If you’re between sizes in the converter, size up. The charts print cleanly from your browser for the shoe-store trip.
Bright Side Kit. "Shoe Size Conversion Chart." https://brightoolbox.com/shoe-size-conversion-chart/ Accessed October 22, 2026.UK 8, EU 42.5, CM 27. The men’s rule is US = UK + 1, and the EU/CM values come from the standard brand charts above.
A men’s 6.5. The shortcut between US scales: women’s US ≈ men’s US + 1.5, so subtract 1.5 from the women’s size.
Yes — up to half a size, and EU sizes vary the most because they’re the least standardized. That’s why the charts list CM too: foot length in centimeters is the scale brands disagree about least.
It’s the box/Japanese size — roughly the foot length the shoe is built for, in centimeters. It runs about 1 cm longer than your measured foot; that gap is built-in toe room.
Stand on paper with your heel against a wall in the evening, mark your longest toe, and measure heel-to-mark in centimeters. Do both feet and fit the larger one — then match the CM column in the charts.
No. Like the men’s scale, kids’ US = UK + 1 (a 10K is a UK 9). The numbering also restarts: little-kid sizes run 10K–13.5K, then youth sizes restart at 1Y and run to 7Y.
Usually, yes — about half a size above your measured size. Feet swell and slide forward on long runs, so runners want a thumb’s width of space ahead of the longest toe. Try them on in the evening, wearing running socks.
